| About the River Rats |
We are the 37th chartered chapter of the Worldwide Browns backers. We are a
family friendly club with members ranging in age from 4 to 80.
With the upcoming Season we have a new home, we will meet at The NO IDEA
SPORTS DINNING in Marietta, Ohio.
Each season we host a tailgate party and invite other clubs to come join us,travel to
gathering places of other clubs and tailgate with them, and attend a Browns game as
a club. Also we do many things to enrich our community and help support
charitable organizations. In the past we have donated to the Marietta Youth Football
League, Marietta Middle School Football, sent care packages to troops in the Middle
East, The Marietta Area Food Pantry, The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life,
The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County, Secret Santa, Shop with a Cop, &
Adopt a Highway as well as organized, ran, and continue to run the first NFL Punt,
Pass and Kick competition in our home city in over 25 years. This year the River
Rats Browns Backers will continue our charitable ways with our annual Golf outing
and other ventures in hopes of enriching the lives of those in the Washington county
area.
